4 Unique Ways to Repurpose Your Content

So, you know your favorite pair of jeans or sweatpants?! That you wear like… every day. 👀

(Don’t worry… us too!)

Well, you usually don’t find yourself worried about people thinking “Wow, she’s wearing those AGAIN?!” Do you know why? Because more times than not, you put on a different outfit with the same pants. You’ve essentially “repurposed” your jeans/sweatpants into new outfits.

It’s 100% time do to that with your content! You see what we did there 😉

Repurposing your content isn’t lazy, it’s efficient! You spend hours in a photoshoot, coming up with captions, writing blogs, creating infographics, and SO much more… just to use it ONE time?! We’re throwing that routine in the trash 🗑

Ready to learn ways to repurpose your content that doesn't just involve “airplane-ing” your most recent IG post to your stories?! Yeah... you know what we mean... Let’s dive in ⤵

Option 1: YouTube Videos to Reels/ IG Stories/ TikToks

We’ve done our fair share of researching YouTube and what is required to have a high-ranking video. We know the great amount of effort and creativity that go into the creation of videos. Whether it’s one video or a series, you’ve got at least 15 minutes to an hour of video content on your hands! Not only do you record the videos, but to get the best reach, it’s suggested to type out the script. Don’t get us wrong, YouTube is a great platform, but the benefits of spreading your video content throughout other channels can be very beneficial for your business! And the best part?! It doesn’t require that much extra work!

To repurpose, you can start by taking snippets of the dynamic duo (video content + video script) and sprinkling them into Instagram and TikTok. For Instagram, posting video clips from your YouTube video is as simple as it sounds & to boost your reach, Reels are going to be your best friend! Taking one 6-10 second snippet from your YouTube video and slapping a trending sound (that is “fairly” relative to your video) will increase your brand exposure and reach tremendously! Well, that’s if the IG algorithm is on its best behavior! 😉

On the other hand, there is one platform that doesn’t have such a harsh algorithm… TikTok! Repurposing your YouTube content on TikTok (even with the original audio) can perform very well.

Tip 2: Infographics to Blogs + Blogs to Infographics

When repurposing content is the topic of discussion, this one is always brought up! You might be tired of hearing it, we get it. But seriously, do it! 😏

It’s probably one of the simpler ways to repurpose your content because if you are turning an infographic into a blog, you have the wireframe to expound on! With an intro, 3-4 points, and the conclusion right in front of you… just add a few paragraphs & BOOM… easy! If you have a completed blog post, just paraphrase the main points & slap them in a Canva design. (Okay, maybe designing your feed takes a liiiiitttle bit longer than that, but you get the point!)

Tip 3: Blog Copy to Captions

This one is a NO BRAINER! You spend hours & hours cooking up the best blogs, so why should you spend MORE time trying to write captions?! If the content is relative to what you were talking about in the blog post, then why not?! Your audience may not read your blogs word for word and take into consideration, your new followers! They aren’t going to “Check out our latest blog by tapping the link in bio” from a post 2 months ago and observe all the copy in your blogs.

We know… a lot of times, you may think, “I need to continue pushing out new content or else I’ll lose the interest of my audience.” But if we’re being honest, regarding repetition, it takes 7-12 exposures with a topic for it to resonate with a user. That’s just for them to associate a word with your brand. It jumps up to 12-24 exposures for them to make a purchase. If you want your audience to remember what you are educating them on and genuinely digest it, you should push important topics often. Strategically place topics 1-2 weeks apart from each other to hit those interaction points (and you’ll be golden ✨)

Tip 4: Same Photo Cropped Many Different Ways

Have you ever seen the most aesthetically pleasing grids, where they have zoomed-in photos that don’t show their face? It’s a close-up of their suit or their hands on the computer… we're completely OBSESSED with this one!

During photo shoots, photographers only give you a certain number of photos you can choose from. Let's optimize the usage of those photos! Try using the same photo with 3-4 different crops. This will give your IG grid a pleasing look while getting a bang for your buck with photography!

We mean... think about it! Say you get 25 photos, cropping each at least 3 different ways will give you 75 photos to work with. On top of that, there are 75 photos to use across all platforms, inserted in blogs, sales pages, on your website & so much more! Thank us later! 😉

The bottom line?

It’s time to work smarter, not harder, friends! We promise your audience does not remember specific sentences or photos you’ve posted before. Attention spans are getting shorter and shorter as time goes on. So let's recap ⤵
